Brown Bag Lecture Series Thursday November 18
Tales of the great historic buildings and personalities of the old Santa
Clara Valley will be recounted by author, editor and teacher Phyllis
Butler at the Osher Institute UCSC Cupertino Campus.
Phyllis Butler’s presentation draws upon her recently published book,
"The Valley of Santa Clara-A Guide to the Heart of Silicon Valley."
The Lunchtime program includes a slide presentation, Q&A, and book
signing.
Founding Chairman of the Santa Clara County Historical Heritage
Commission, Phyllis Butler is a frequent speaker on Valley history and
architecture at museums, libraries and colleges, and a freelance feature
writer for the San Francisco Chronicle and San Jose Mercury News.
